During the bus ride you will enjoy a comfortable journey from Fuengirola and other points on the Costa del Sol to Ardales, where we will access the north entrance of the Caminito del Rey and the experience will begin. This excursion is undoubtedly the easiest and most comfortable way to discover one of the most unique sites in Andalusia.

The Caminito del Rey began to be built in 1901 and was completed in 1905 as part of an ambitious project linked to the economic and industrial development of the area. Considered a true feat of engineering, it was inaugurated in 1925 by King Alfonso XIII. Accompanied by an expert guide and passionate about the history of the place, you will learn about the origins of the Caminito, its curiosities and the reasons that led to raise these walkways suspended between the gorges of the Gaitanes and Gaitanejo, which together reach a total length of 7.7 kilometers.

The guided tour lasts approximately 4 hours and runs about 4.8 kilometers from the north access in Ardales. Along the way you will go through tunnels carved into the rock -don't forget to keep your head down-, contemplate the Guadalhorce River dam and descend the emblematic "chocolate staircase", all surrounded by the characteristic Mediterranean vegetation.

One of the most striking moments of the tour is the stop at the glass viewpoint, a transparent platform suspended over 100 meters high that will allow you to observe the gorge below your feet and leave behind any trace of vertigo. From there, you will continue into the gorges until you reach the southern access, at the El Chorro Reservoir, crossing the pedestrian walkways almost 3 kilometers long and barely 1 meter wide.

The highlight comes when you cross the impressive suspension bridge, suspended up to 105 meters high over the canyon of the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes. After finishing this unforgettable experience, you will return the safety helmet and arrive at the south access of El Chorro, where the bus will be waiting for you to return comfortably to the starting point in Fuengirola.
