Question 1

Is the Caminito del Rey entry fee included in the tour price or do I need to purchase it separately?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Caminito del Rey entry fee is included in the 67€ tour price. This covers your official access to the walkway, round-trip bus transport from Málaga, a bilingual official guide (Spanish/English), travel insurance for travellers up to 65 years old, and a welcome pack at the start. No additional payment is required for the entry itself—just book your spot.

Question 2

How does the transport from Málaga work? Where exactly does the group get picked up?

Accepted Answer

Transport is provided by a coach, departing and returning from a bus stop next to Pelucas Paco in Málaga city centre. Pick-up time is confirmed when you receive your welcome pack before the tour. The journey takes about 1 hour to the Caminito del Rey starting point (Ardales or El Chorro), depending on traffic.

Question 3

What kind of food and drink is included on the excursion? Are special dietary options available?

Accepted Answer

The included meal is a typical Andalusian picnic-style lunch: a sandwich, fruit, snacks, and water or soft drinks. Special dietary options such as vegan, gluten-free, or allergy-friendly meals are not guaranteed, so if you have specific dietary needs, we recommend bringing your own food. Your welcome pack will confirm the exact menu on the day of the tour.

Question 4

Is it necessary to book in advance, or can I purchase the tour on the same day?

Accepted Answer

We strongly recommend booking in advance, as the Caminito del Rey has a strict daily visitor limit, and tour slots fill up quickly—especially during peak season (spring/summer). Online booking confirms your spot immediately, and the welcome pack is sent via email within 24 hours. Same-day availability is only possible if there are last-minute cancellations.

Question 5

What clothing and footwear are recommended for the Caminito del Rey hike?

Accepted Answer

Wear comfortable, breathable clothing—long trousers are ideal to protect your legs from wind on the higher sections. Footwear should be sturdy hiking boots or trainers with good grip (avoid sandals or flat shoes). Also bring sun protection (hat, sunglasses), a small backpack with at least 2L of water, and extra snacks, as the 8km hike is challenging with limited shade.
