What exactly do they taste in the Masterclass and how do they differ?

In the experience you will try our 100% Iberian acorn ham (raised in freedom and fed only with acellot) and 50% Iberian bait (with 50% Iberian race and controlled feeding). Both have different cures: the acorn reaches 36 months of maturation, while the cebo is around 24 months. We will explain the differences in aroma, texture and taste, key to understand why the price varies (the acorn is more exclusive). We include traditional cuts to appreciate its quality.

How long does it take to get from the centre of Salamanca to the factory by public transport?

From the centre of Salamanca, the public bus trip (lines 35 or 36 from Gran Vía) takes approximately 15- 20 minutes, including the waiting. The meeting point is 10-12 minutes by car from the center, but public transport can add a few extra minutes. We recommend leaving at least 30 minutes in advance to avoid haste. Free parking at the entrance makes it easy to get there by car without any concerns.

Can you book the tour for large groups or with children, and is there a requirement?

Yes, we accept groups of up to 20 people (see availability for more). The activity is suitable for children, but is not recommended for children under 5 years of age for the duration (1h 15min) and the tasting environment. Groups should book in advance to ensure the experience. Each participant pays €33, and those under 12 have a 10% discount. It includes snack and drink for all.

Where exactly is the Masterclass performed and how is the tasting space?

The Masterclass is provided in our production facilities, in a heated living room and equipped with individual tables for each participant. You will see live the dryers where ham heal for years (with restricted access to the general public) and historical wineries with more than 4,000 pieces in process. The space is accessible to people with reduced mobility. After the explanation, you'll taste the ham on professional courtesy boards.
