Question 1

What level of kayaking or snorkelling experience do I need for this tour?

Accepted Answer

No prior experience is required. The tour is suitable for all levels, from beginners to experts. The local guide will provide a brief introduction to equipment use and basic paddling and snorkelling techniques. The Helly Hansen life vest ensures safety throughout. The route is accessible, and the pace is adapted to the group.

Question 2

How can I get to the meeting point if I don’t have a car?

Accepted Answer

You can take a bus (lines 10, 11, or 12 from Benidorm) to the nearest stop near Cala Portixol, but you’ll need to walk 20-30 minutes to the beach. Taxis from Benidorm cost around €15. Arrive before 09:00 to secure parking, as beach access is restricted after this time. Delays may require a 30-minute walk to reach the meeting point.

Question 3

Can I bring food or drinks on the tour?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can bring your own food and drinks, though they aren’t included in the price. The waterproof bags provided are perfect for keeping your belongings dry, including snacks or a water bottle. Light snacks are recommended, as the tour includes scenic stops. Avoid heavy or messy foods.

Question 4

Where exactly does the tour take place? What’s the route like?

Accepted Answer

The tour starts at Cala Portixol, a pristine cove near Jávea, accessible only by sea. The route includes paddling to Cala el Pom for snorkelling, exploring the cave on Isla de Portixol, visiting Cap Negre, and ending at the Blue Lagoon. The total duration is 2 hours 30 minutes, with stops to rest and enjoy the scenery. The guide adjusts the pace based on conditions.

Question 5

Is it safe to jump from the cliffs? Are there height or age restrictions?

Accepted Answer

Cliff jumping is included but optional and supervised by the guide. There are no height restrictions, but participants should be at least 12 years old and able to swim. The area is clearly marked, and the guide will assess sea conditions before allowing jumps. If you prefer not to jump, you can enjoy the scenery from the kayak or other tour activities.
