Question 1

What traditional tapas are included in the tour and where are they served?

Accepted Answer

The tour includes two traditional Valencian tapas dishes served at Plaza Redonda, a historic central square. Your expert guide will take you to a specific spot in this square to taste authentic dishes like 'esgarraet' (roasted pepper and cod salad) or 'all i pebre' (eel stew), accompanied by fresh bread. Tapas tasting is included in the £34.99 price, but drinks are not.

Question 2

How do I confirm my booking and what should I bring on the tour?

Accepted Answer

Your booking is confirmed instantly, and you’ll receive a mobile ticket to show at the meeting point. Wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes, as the 2h 15min tour involves cobbled streets. Bring your charged phone for the e-ticket and, if possible, an umbrella (though your guide will carry a black or purple one as a backup).

Question 3

Where exactly is the meeting point and how will I recognise the guide?

Accepted Answer

The meeting point is Plaza de la Almoina, in Valencia’s historic centre, close to the Cathedral. Look for a guide holding a black or purple umbrella. They’ll contact you before the start time via phone or email (provided during booking) to coordinate. The exact address will be confirmed after reservation.

Question 4

Can I cancel the tour for free and what happens if it rains?

Accepted Answer

Yes, free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before the tour starts. The tour will proceed in light rain, as the guide carries an umbrella. However, in extreme weather (e.g., red alert), the tour may be cancelled, with a full refund or rescheduling offered. You’ll be notified in advance.

Question 5

How long is the visit to the sweet shop and what kind of sweets will I try?

Accepted Answer

The visit to the local sweet shop lasts about 15-20 minutes, woven into the route. You’ll sample Valencia’s most iconic sweets, like 'fartons' (elongated buns for dipping in horchata) and 'coca de llanda' (moist sponge cake). It’s an interactive stop to explore Valencian pastry traditions, adding to the tour’s food experience.
