Visit the Reina Sofía Museum, a space where art, history and thought converge, and where the stories intertwine to create a deep experience of discovery and reflection. Each room proposes new views and connections that invite the visitor to travel different ways of interpretation and knowledge.

The works exposed, with all their questions and their sometimes provocative character, seek to connect directly with daily reality, generating an authentic experience of learning and dialogue with art.

The permanent collection of the museum is presented through a tour with multiple narratives, which bets on an open and critical look. This approach not only keeps the mystery of art alive, but also avoids unique interpretations, promoting the diversity of readings and views.

In their rooms the traditional artistic genres coexist with photography, cinema, sound and dance. With your entrance valid all day, you can access more than 21,000 works exposed in the main building and immerse yourself in one of the most important contemporary art centers in the world.

Before you travel

• The museum is closed on 1 and 6 January, 1 and 15 May, 9 November and 24, 25 and 31 December.

• The museum is free from Monday to Saturday: 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Sundays and holidays 12.30 H-2.30 H

• Opening hours are Monday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. It closes every Tuesday and occasionally on Sundays.

• To ensure a pleasant experience for all, it is recommended that children remain under the supervision of an adult at all times.

• Visitors should always follow the instructions of the Museum staff.

• No objects or substances are permitted that may pose a risk to the integrity of the persons or property of the museum. Sticking objects, knives, scissors, tools, etc.

• The permitted bags, bags or backpacks have a recommended dimensions of 40x30x10 cm.

• Only closed folding umbrella is allowed.

• Not allowed: Food or drink, toys, balls or entertainment items.

• Care dogs and emotional support dogs are allowed (duly justified).
